George Kochilakis is a R&D engineer in the Remote Sensing Lab of the Institute of Applied and Computational Mathematics (IACM), FORTH. He holds a M.Sc. in Computer Vision and Robotics and Parallel and Distributed Computer Systems from the University of Crete, Department of Computer Science (1994) and two B.Sc. one in Computer Science from the University of Crete (1991), and the other in Mathematics (1988) from the same University. He has participated in a large number of research projects of Regional Analysis Division of IACM from 1991 to 2011. Since 2011 he is a member of the Remote Sensing Lab of IACM. His main research interests include the design and development of web based GIS tools and applications, algorithms for spatial data processing, data management systems and web based tools for data dissemination.
