Maria Gkolemi is a research assistant at the Remote Sensing Lab of FORTH. She is a physicist by training, holding a degree from the University of Crete. Her main scientific interests in machine learning and neural network applications for large scale exploitation of Earth Observation and satellite imagery, particularly focusing on thermal remote sensing in urban environments.
