Michael Foumelis is a geologist-geophysicist specialized in imaging geodesy and geohazards. He is Collaborating Researcher at FORTH and an Assistant Professor in the School of Geology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh). He has been a staff member of the French Geological Survey (BRGM), an EO scientist at the the European Space Agency (ESA) and an adjunct Lecturer in the Geography Department of the Harokopio University of Athens (HUA). He has participated in several research and development as well as commercial projects related to geohazards and their impact.
