Christina Katsoura
Research Assistant | Urban Climate - Atmospheric Observations
Christina Katsoura is a Research Assistant at the Remote Sensing Lab of FORTH.
She holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics and M.Sc. degrees in Applied Meteorology and
Environmental Physics and Integrated Coastal Zone Management. Her work focuses
on the processing, quality control and analysis of meteorological observations
from Heraklion’s urban station network, with particular emphasis on extreme heat
and spatial temperature variability. Her research interests include urban
micrometeorology and the use of observational and geospatial data to investigate
how urban characteristics influence local climate.
